The People Who Make FM Customer Service Work

Welcome to my new blog, where I'm going to discuss the issues affecting the workers on the front line of customer service in facilities management. Most FM blogs talk about the issues that the companies have to deal with, but what about us?

Helpdesk and contract support administrators, engineers, site and contract managers, and the subcontractors and suppliers are the people who actually make FM work. Our fingers type out the fault descriptions and our hands wield the tools used to put them right. The companies we work for and their reputations all depend on how well we handle requests and how quickly we resolve problems; that is why jobs in the industry pay well.
